Almost a year ago, when the Belgian act Amenra decided to roll out a split with another band associated with their art collective Church of Ra – also founded in the Flemish city of Kortrijk -, it was arduous not to fix our focus on what we were hearing on a track cryptic called Manégarmr. Venomous hardcore, blasting uninterruptedly, which only broke itself up to give the spotlight to Colin H. van Eeckhout, precisely the keened vocalist of Amenra, in a tremendous rendition of atmospheric (post/black) metal.
